Lovely little campsite. Good facilities, nice to have the big barn to cook in if it's training. Easy walk to the beach. Use big pegs for tents if it's windy. The Sandy ground doesn't grip them that well. That being said, we survived a brutal rainstorm, so don't be dismayed.
Lovely location but a bit exposed. Only half a dozen power points in huge field with no access for cars. Be prepared to use wheelbarrows to transfer everything from and to the car park. Washing facilities fine.
The tents are tiny and home to the cast of bugs life, the food is vile, only 3 showers and to keep them running you have to press the button continuously, reeked of sewerage in some places, its like being a refugee in ww2 with the sounds from the shooting range nearby, the countryside view is ruined by the nearby factory with active burning chimneys every night, one staff member in particular was very rude and unhelpful, shop is very limited and overpriced, wouldn't recommend this old rundown farm to anyone
A lovely relaxing campsite with basic facilities such as shower and toilets.great to get away and enjoy peace and quiet as well as the local scenery.
The food was adequate, dry and overcooked. Food was always later than told, no choices. No warning about guns firing nearby us. Loud and always at night around the time of curfew (aka around 11pm). Didnt warn us about putting up and carrying our own tents in the sweltering heat. And tents that are supposed to fit 10 adults have barely fitted 7 teenagers and their sleeping stuff.No water bottles are available on site and there is no nearby shops to acquire any. Water is collect from taps outside the bathrooms and the water in the morning is cloudy, translucent and disgusting.Washing facilities are limited with no washing machines or places to hang wet or soggy clothing. Some staff are rude and impolite however most of the staff are lovely, polite and considerate. Warm water supplied in shower with the setting areas to make sure clothes dont get soaked.Lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas and nearby fire pits. And a short distance away front the coast. The tents are made of a decent quality material and can open and close the small windows easily to allow air flow. Good views, close to nature and perfect area to watch the sun set at night. However there is a view of some small towers with fire expelling from it.Overall, dont recommend for the disabled or elderly, large or younger families. Recommend for older families and smaller families.
