The food was very good and the cafe / resturant had a nice atmosphere. It was a cold day and the wood burner was on making it warm and toasty.Good choice of meals on menu.Only down side poor choice of desserts.Since my last visit it has been taken over by new owners so I cannot make a more recent observation except to say it is now open during the evenings
I will return here soon. I was craving a Gammon Egg and Chips, oddly, they don't serve it. But, not everyone does. It's a nice place though, so we will be going there again soon and try their food out.I'm not much of a "fancy food name" eater as I just don't understand any of it. Hence wanting what I wanted. But their burgers do look nice.
Only had tea, coffee and toast but it was lovely. Nice place, nice atmosphere with log burner. Exposed stone walls. Really inviting. Lovely and clean. Table service. Staff friendly
You take a look inside and it looks like a casual restaurant, but once your order the food is something worth of a properly fancy place. We went for dinner and there were 4 options for each course, and a extensive drink menu. Portion sizes could be larger, but this is mostly because it was so delicious. The price was very reasonable, basically the same than all the other restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food was incomparable.
Pleasant polite staff. Excellent coffee and a proper pot of tea. Delicious scones. Toilets could do with regular checks throughout the day and to ensure consistent cleanliness and regular replenishment of toilet rolls etc.Will return when next in the vicinity.
